What Does SonicChiro Offer?

What services do you offer?

Sonic Chiro offers chiropractic care and massage therapy for scoliosis, migraines, headaches, back and neck pain.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept Premera, Anthem BCBS, Regence BCBS, Aetna, UnitedHC, Kaiser, and Medicare and more. We are “In-Network” with all major medical insurance companies except Cigna.

How do I find out what my insurance covers and what my co-pay could be?

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us 24 hour notice to cancel your appointment, otherwise you may be subject to a cancellation fee.

How do I schedule my appointment?

What forms should I fill out before my appointment?

When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive 5 min before your appointment if you have already filled out your paperwork online https://intake.mychirotouch.com/?clientid=SC0273.  If you did not fill out your paperwork online please arrive 20 minutes before you are scheduled to complete the paperwork in the office.

How long are appointments? (First, adjustments, massage)

Massage appointments are 60 min.  Chiropractic appointments: please allow 45 min for your first chiropractic appointment.  Follow up chiropractic appointments are typically shorter depending on your treatment plan.

Can someone come with me?

Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions we are asking that you come to your appointment alone at this time.  If you do have someone attend the appointment with you, they may be asked to wait downstairs in the lobby of the building so we can maintain King Co capacity requirements.

Why do I need an exam?

Your doctor needs to do a thorough exam prior to chiropractic treatment to rule out any contraindications to treatment.  We want to make sure you’re getting the right treatment in the correct way.

Can I schedule several services on the same day?

Sure!  Some patients prefer to do chiropractic and massage treatment on the same day.  Some prefer to do their treatments on separate days. Once you have a recommended treatment plan you can chat with your Doctor and your massage therapist to determine the right schedule and frequency for you.

During Your Appointment

What is my consultation or first visit going to be like?

Regardless of how you have your first appointment – virtually or in-person – you should expect to spend 15 minutes talking about your history. We’ll want to know your chief complaint and talk to uncover the root cause. Your chiropractor will do an assessment.

From there we will recommend which services will be best for you – whether in office or referring to a specialist.

Will I typically see the same care provider ever visit?

Yes – but it depends on what is most important to you: seeing the same provider or being seen when you want.

If you want to see the same provider, we will schedule you when they are available. If you want to be seen at a certain time and your preferred provider isn’t available, you may opt to see another provider.

When it comes to massages, you can stick with an LMT or book appointments that fit your schedule.

What’s great is that all our providers have access to your files, so if you see a new provider they’ll know your case before you arrive for your appointment. As a collaborative office we always take time to keep you at the center of our practice.

Can I make a special request for specific staff?

Absolutely – when you make your appointment, just specify who you want to see.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Most often what you wear to work is appropriate (even work from home!). We suggest avoiding skirts, dresses, and tight clothes.

What should I expect to feel after treatment?

After your first treatment you should feel better – but soreness can return. This is because we haven’t had enough time to reset the muscle memory.

A handful of patients feel no change at all after their first appointment. This is typically because you’ve been living with your issues for some time, so it takes a bit of time to get you fixed.

Even fewer of our patients feel some discomfort after a treatment, similar to how you’d feel after a tough workout. In that situation we recommend using ice on the sore spots and drinking lots of water.

Will you provide me with post-care/at-home exercises?

Yes – whether you’re a chiro or massage patient – your provider will educate you on things to do at home so you can be empowered to take care of yourself. At-home work supplements in-office care.
