Kinesio Taping Downtown Seattle, Washington
We’re excited to be offering several new services at our clinics. Kinesiology Tape is one of the most widely used therapeutic treatments for athletes and everyday warriors. And now you can get it at Sonic Chiro and Lake Union Wellness.
You’ve probably seen professional athletes with tape across their joints and muscles. That tape has many benefits. It relieves pain, reduces swelling and inflammation, prevents or relieves muscle spasms and cramping, and supports injured muscles without restricting range of motion.
Kinesiology Tape works by stabilizing muscles. Some users claim that it slightly lifts the skin away from the muscle which can help promote blood flow to the muscle.
Our massage therapists can apply the tape to your body to help with IT band and hamstring injuries, shin splints, achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff, and tennis elbow.
The tape should stay in place for up to five days.
You can have the tape applied during the final minutes of your massage. The cost is $15 per body part. In most cases insurance will not cover this service, so you should be prepared to pay out-of-pocket. Just let our staff know if you’d like this service when you make your appointment or come in.
Call or email the office for more details and to get scheduled. (206) 326-1990.
Add-on Services FAQ
You can schedule your add-on service in two ways. First is when you call to schedule your appointment. Just let our staff know and we’ll make sure it’s added to your massage. Second, you can add it when you check-in for your massage. Our front desk staff will give you an add-on sheet for you to choose which, if any, you would like for that day’s visit. Just hand it back and it will be so!
Each service is $15 and is typically not covered by insurance at this time. You can pay cash, credit/debit card at the time of your service.
Bonus: Your first try of an add-on is 50% off.
CBD oils and Cupping are used and performed during your massage; Kinesiotaping (functional movement tape) is applied during the last few minutes of your massage session.
Our staff have completed training courses on both Kinesiotaping and Cupping. We were able to have the manufacturer of the CBD oils come to our office and speak directly to the staff about the benefits/side-effects/safety of the specific CBD products we are using in our office.
